Full-Synthetic
Full-synthetic motor oil is produced with petroleum-based resources, but the significant refinement results in an artificial oil with a smaller molecule, thinnest viscosity, and enhanced resistance to sludge formation. Mazda generally recommends that newer models with combustion engines use OEM Castrol® OW-20 full-synthetic motor oil. We naturally carry the motor oil that newer Mazda models need and provide change services recommended every 10,000 miles in normal driving conditions.

Conventional motor oil is refined petroleum with additives that improve its performance. It was the auto industry’s standard engine lubricant for decades until synthetic oils became a more attractive option for newer vehicles. We stock conventional motor oil for older Mazda models that need oil changes every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

Semi-synthetic motor oil also carries the name “Synthetic Blend” due to its unique chemical composition that blends conventional oil and synthetic base stock. Synthetic blend motor oil is often an excellent option for older Mazdas lubricated with conventional oil to improve lubrication and extend engine life.
